Marjoram essential oils is new to my medicine cabinet. I’m still adding to my collection of holistic remedies and thought this would be a great addition!
Marjoram essential oil dates back to Greek mythology and was, and still is, noted for its culinary and medical uses. Once known as a symbol of joy and happiness in ancient cultures, Marjoram has amazing calming properties and is known to have a positive effect on the human immune and nervous systems.

Hormonal Balance: Marjoram essential oils is an amazing oil to have on hand for women when it comes to hormonal balance as it is known to help balance hormones naturally. It’s a great option to help with PMS or menopause.
Cardiovascular Health: Marjoram essential oil can be a great help when dealing with high blood pressure and heart problems. Marjoram is a great source of antioxidants and is known to be a vasodilator, which means it can help widen and relax blood vessels, helping to reduce blood pressure.
Natural Pain Reliever: Marjoram essential oil can help with tension headaches due to its anti-inflammatory and calming properties. This is a great oil to diffuse or use in a massage to help relax the tension and pain away.

Sedative: Marjoram essential oils has calming and relaxing qualities, creating a natural sedative effect on the mind and the body. This makes it a great option to help reduce stress and anxiety!
How to Use Marjoram Essential Oil
Diffusing Marjoram essential oil is always a great option. You can combine it with one or more essential oils as well to make a great diffuser blend of your choice.
You can use Marjoram topically. You can try applying to the back of the neck to lesson feelings of stress. If you have a fussy child, you can try applying to the bottoms of their feet prior to a nap to help them relax.
You can can use Marjoram essential oil as a replacement in recipes that call for dried Marjoram. Usually 1 drop of essential oil is equivalent to 2 tsp. of dried herbs.

As you can see, Marjoram is an incredibly powerful essential oil and can be used to help alleviate symptoms of the common cold, flu, bronchitis, asthma, stress, insomnia, muscle and joint pain, and more! I’m glad to have this addition to my medicine cabinet. I’ll definitely be incorporating this into my cooking as well!!
