The aromatic application is the most widely known and used. Some essential oils, when diffused, induce uplifting or energizing effects, while others more calming. You can achieve the same benefits of diffusing by placing a few drops of essential oil in the palm of your hand, then cup around your nose as you breathe deeply. I love diffusing essential oils, I have them going at my office all day!
Using essential oils topically is a very effective method. This is because essential oils have low molecular weights and are lipid soluble, meaning they can easily penetrate the skin. I apply essential oils daily and have truly benefitted from using them this way.
Certain essential oils have a rich culinary history and can be used as dietary supplements for targeted wellness. I take certain oils internally every day too!
